Cookery School
Welcome to Ning Cookery School!
Established at our restaurant in 2007, we have since taught over 500 students through group cookery classes, corporate functions, teambuilding events and private cookery classes.
Our Executive Chef, Norman Musa, personally runs all our cookery events along with co-owner Andy Spracklen and our dedicated Ning team. When he set up the Cookery School, Norman’s aim was to teach local people the secrets of the Malaysian home cooking he grew up with and this ambition continues today.
Originally the only restaurant in the area offering cookery classes, we continue to pride ourselves on being the only Malaysian cookery school in Manchester and the North West to this day. We attract budding cooks from not just the city and region but all over the UK.
Our cookery classes and events demonstrate our passion for Malaysian food and culture and, without exception, our students and guests have loved it! You can read some of the many testimonials!
Our cookery events are ideal for corporate groups looking for a different approach to teambuilding or client hospitality, or for a group of friends with an interest in cookery. Whatever your requirements we can organise a suitable, fun and informative event for you.
For the ultimate cookery experience, why not try a private class with Norman Musa, our Executive Chef? With Norman you will be in prime, dedicated company with Manchester’s Chef of the Year 2009 nominee and up-and-coming TV chef. It’s a fantastic, tailored way to learn about the Malaysian cuisine from our resident expert!
For an introduction to Malaysian cuisine, we also run regular Saturday morning cookery classes.
